Opening Office documents (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc) may generate an 'Enter Network Password' dialogue (which may appear on your toolbar or behind other windows). Click 'Cancel' and the Office document will open. Alternatively, right click the Office document link, and select 'Save Target As ...' to save the Office document to your computer.

This known problem occurs when opening Office 2000 documents from web servers using particular authentication software. It is addressed by Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a.
